Wayne

As Wayne Perry walked away from a Billy Graham Crusade on July 28, 1985 at Anaheim Stadium, California, having just given his heart to the Lord and accepting the invitation to begin a new life, little did he know how his life would change.

He was quickly delivered from alcohol and drug addiction and began healing from an extremely abusive childhood. Not too long after, God gave him a gift of songwriting that would influence all he was to do in the near and the distant future. On this wonderful evening of incredible transition, there was another twist because the young lady whom he would meet in a few months (and who would eventually become his wife) was singing in the Billy Graham Crusade choir that night. Her mother had jokingly mentioned to her that “maybe you’ll meet your husband tonight.” Well, they didn’t officially meet that night but in reality became part of one big family as Wayne took on the name of the Lord.

Wayne also began an intense discipleship with a spiritually devoted Christian couple and began a divinely appointed courtship with Mary Ann McCarthy, a secretary at the same church Wayne began attending after his salvation. They began their relationship on a foundation of discipleship and desire to give all to God. It’s no surprise their music leans heavily on the side of bringing people into the saving and growing knowledge of the Lord.

Mary Ann

Mary Ann was born on the east coast (as Wayne was) but her path was quite different than Wayne’s. Her childhood was spent mostly in Europe, having lived in Germany, Switzerland and one of her favorite places, England. She lived there for six years enjoying the English lifestyle, going through middle/high school and taking an invaluable secretarial course. Her family eventually settled in California.

Having a hunger for spiritual things she searched out diligently the Christian faith and began attending Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California and soon found herself embracing evangelical Christianity. It was there that she got saved.

Ever since she can remember, Mary Ann has always enjoyed singing and harmonizing.

We think you will find that this music delivers the uncluttered word of God through refreshing yet convicting, easy to understand lyrics and music.
